Response Test with Brake Assist

Visitors to the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Pavilion can now learn all about the brake assist system, one of the many driver assist systems in our vehicles. The aim of the response test is to brake as quickly as possible. To participate, simply take a seat in front of two LED bars, which each have a round LED dot on top, and put your hands on the steering wheel and your feet on the accelerator and brake pedals. When you press the accelerator pedal, the LED bar fills up and the round LEDs light up green. As soon as they change to red, apply the brakes as quickly as possible. Your response time is measured and compared with the response time of the brake assist system. Who is faster – you or the brake assist?
