During my Autostadt visit I lost something. Where, and how long, does the Autostadt keep lost property?
Found articles are kept up to four weeks at the Autostadt's lost property office under the Piazza, before they are handed over to the city of Wolfsburg’s lost property office (Fundbüro).
How much time should I allow for my visit to the Autostadt?
Statistics show us that our guests spend an average of four to six hours visiting the Autostadt, that amount of time will enable you to get a good overview of the pavilions, the ZeitHaus (museum) the CustomerCentre (car distribution), the park and the various offers in the GroupForum. For visitors who would like to explore the Autostadt in more depth we recommend the two-day ticket.
I am reliant on a wheel chair/my children require the use of a baby stroller. Are the Autostadt buildings designed to suit my needs?
The Autostadt buildings are wheelchair-compatible and have ramps and/or lifts. You can borrow a wheelchair or baby stroller free of charge against a deposit.
I have booked the safety training (Fahrsicherheitstraining). Where do I go for this training and what must I bring?
An Autostadt staff member will meet in the pavilion at the all-terrain track. Please be there ten minutes before your booking and bring a valid driver’s license with you.
I have heard that in addition to the Zeit Museum there is also a Volkswagen Automuseum. Is this at the Autostadt?
The Volkswagen AutoMuseum is situated at 35 Dieselstraße, Wolfsburg, about five to ten minutes drive from the Autostadt. Further information can be obtained at www.volkswagen-automuseum.de.
I would like to visit the Autostadt on several consecutive days. Where do I spend the nights?

If I am a day visitor can I take part at the factorytour?
Pre booking of the factory tour is possible due to availability:
Times: On production days, Mondays to Fridays (in October only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays), between 9:00 h and 16:00 h. Not on weekends, public holidays and during factory holidays. The tour in English starts at 12:50 h. FactoryTours last approx. 50 minutes.

Non-smoker protection at the Autostadt?
According to § 1 para. 9 and 10 of the Lower Saxony Non-smoker protection Act, smoking is only permitted in designated areas. These are the outside areas and the area underneath the GroupForum’s (KonzernForum) Piazza.
What is the to do at the Autostadt when it rains?
Our 28 hectare park houses seven brand pavilions, the CustomerCentre, the ZeitHaus museum and the GroupForum all of which have exhibitions and interactive offers to entertain and delight. In inclement weather you can borrow an umbrella against a deposit at the cloakroom in the GroupForum.
What must I bring if I have booked to drive on the all-terrain track (Geländeparcours)?
To drive on the All-Terrain Track (GeländeParcours) you will need to bring a valid driver’s license. The All-Terrain Track can be reached via the stairs in the middle of the Stadtbrücke (bridge). Please be at the track ten minutes before your booking.
Where can I park? Is there a parking fee?
There are four different parking places for cars as well as one for busses in close proximity to the Autostadt. The parking lot adjacent to the Autostadt’s ServiceHaus charges according to the length of time spent there. If you have come to collect a new vehicle this may be parked free of charge after hand-over.

Do I have to use mouth and nose protection when I visit the Autostadt?
All visitors, customers and staff are legally required to wear a medical grade face mask (surgical mask, or a face mask that meets the KN95/N95 or FFP2 standards) inside the Autostadt buildings. T
Do i need a negative COVID-19 test?
Autostadt visitors must comply with the following measures:
1) presentation of a valid negative rapid antigen test (from a public testing station, valid for a maximum of 24 hours) or PCR test (valid for a maximum of 48 hours) or
2) proof of recent recovery from Covid-19 (patients are considered recovered from a Covid infection at least 28 days and a maximum of six months after falling ill) in the form of a doctor's certificate or similar documents from their local health authority, or
3) a vaccine passport confirming that they have received two vaccinations with the vaccines approved for use in the EU (with the second vaccination having been carried out at least two weeks ago).
The Ruhrmedic drive-in test centre in the Autostadt grounds offers both free rapid antigen tests as well as PCR tests, for which there is a charge. Proof of a negative test result can be presented, for example, in the form of a confirmation via the ePassGo app, the Corona-Warn-App or a printed confirmation dated the same day. This proof must be presented at the Autostadt entrances (Piazza and Parkstrasse).
In addition, you are required to register with the e-guest app in order to be able to check in and out via this app whenever you enter a building or area at the Autostadt. These buildings and areas include the customer service centre, the motoring museum ZeitHaus, the brand pavilions as well as the shops, exhibitions and the outdoor hospitality facilities. The app can be downloaded for free from the App Store as well as the Google Play Store. It's a good idea to conveniently download the app at home, and to register before setting off on your visit to the Autostadt. You must enter all of your personal details such as your name, address and your email address to register, and also create a password to log in. However, these details can be accessed only by the respectively responsible local health authority in the event of an infection. Using the app will not compromise your data privacy. Once you are at the Autostadt, you can check in with the e-guest app directly by the entrance to the respective building/area by scanning in a QR code. When you leave a building or area, you simply click on "check out" in the e-guest app.

Will the CustomerCenter remain open for vehicle delivery?
Yes, the CustomerCenter is open for vehicle delivery. We kindly ask that private and retail customers first contact their responsible Volkswagen partner if they have any questions. For safety reasons, we keep deliveries as contact-free as possible. Only one person can pick up a vehicle at this time. Please note that it is mandatory to wear mouth and nose protection. For safety reasons, the factory tour is not currently open.

How big is the park?
Is the park suitable for children and if yes, what can they experience here?
A visit to the Autostadt is an experience for the whole family – most of our attractions are designed to be enjoyed by both young and old. Exclusively for our younger guests we offer a childrens’ drivers license at the LernPark (April to October) as well as the indoor-DrivingSchool (FahrSchule). In addition there are KidsTours – specially conducted tours for children.
My partner is not a car enthusiast what is there for her/him to do for at the Autostadt?
Can I go back to visit the park after vehicle collection?

If you are coming to the Autostadt to collect a vehicle, you can book a FactoryTour on the day of collection.

Your entrance ticket (AbholerKarte) has a voucher to the value, that may be used in the Autostadt restaurants operated by Mövenpick as well as the restaurants in the hotel The Ritz-Carlton, Wolfsburg. A certain amount could be used acquiring a memento of your visit to the Autostadt: they can be redeemed at the Metropol, in the shop ZeitReise as well as in The Ritz-Carlton, Wolfsburg’s boutique. Moreover you get a voucher on your entrance ticket for the Volkswagen accessories shop. If you have not used up all of your amount on the day of collection, you are most welcome to do so within 7 days on a subsequent visit to the Autostadt.
