Did you know...?
ARE THERE ENOUGH CHARGING STATIONS?

The charging network in Germany has almost quadrupled in four years*
The charging network is continuously growing. While there were 52,000 public charging stations in 2022, there are now 196,000 across Germany, including 50,000 faster than 22 kW. At the same time, more and more electric vehicles (battery and plug-in hybrids) are being bought or leased. How many electric cars share one charging point varies by federal state. How dense the network is in your region can be seen in the Elli Chargemap.

Public charging stations in Wolfsburg: 586
Of which:
351 – chill max. 11–22 kW (AC)
172 – fast max. 50 kW (DC)
20 – super fast max. 100–150 kW (DC)
43 – ultra fast max. 200–400 kW (DC)
Info
* Based on data from the Federal Network Agency; status: 03/2026; https://www.bundesnetzagentur.de/DE/Fachthemen/ElektrizitaetundGas/E-Mobilitaet/start.html
** Since many charging stations have two connectors, the total number of available charging points is even higher.
