Better known as Zaz, Isabelle Geffroy has an instantly recognisable signature voice that transitions from husky to soft but always full-bodied as she effortlessly shifts between chanson, jazz, and pop. The chanson virtuoso made her way from the streets of Montmartre to the world stage while always keeping true to her origins, and she’ll be coming to sing on our Lagune stage on Sunday, 3 August. Born on 1 May 1980 in Tours, Zaz was early to reveal her musical ability when she came second place in a radio competition at the age of seven. She went on to study music in Bordeaux and performed with the Latin rock band Don Diego, and she’s been at home on the stage ever since. Zaz has gained a loyal following across the world with her characteristic and unmistakable blend of voice, energy, and emotion.
