Nils Landgren Funk Unit has been performing top-notch funk from Sweden since 1994. It has to be said that this Nordic band faced initial scepticism as to whether they could do justice to this musical genre, a genre steeped in soul, rhythm and blues, and jazz. These doubts have long since evaporated, and the band has released ten albums and performed hundreds of concerts in the thirty years since. Nils Landgren Funk Unit has earned a permanent place as one of the greats of European funk. Showing no signs of letting up, Nils Landgren Funk Unit has now released their eleventh album with the band in its core line-up: Apart from Landgren himself, the band includes Magnum Coltrane Price on bass, Jonas Wall on tenor saxophone, Andy Pfeiler on guitar, Petter Bergander on keyboards, and Robert Ikiz on drums.
