LIGHT OBJECT “UNTITLED”
After entering the Premium Clubhouse you instantly become aware of Anselm Reyle’s light installation “Untitled”. The composition, which consists of many components including curved fluorescent tubes like those used in advertisements, is a free-floating “drawing” which hovers over the room. The light which is reflected back from the mirror-finish Bugatti Veyron 16.4 serves to underline the seemingly boundless space and structure of the area.
In his collages, sculptures and space installations Reyle’s concern is with the pictorial language of modernism. He works with this language reflectively through the innovative use of fresh combinations and alienation effects.
Anselm Reyle was born in 1970 in Tübingen. Since 1997 he has lived and worked in Berlin. He studied painting at the Kunstakademie Karlsruhe.
