Urban mobility of the future
Special Exhibition until 30.12.2018
Effective immediately, the Autostadt is offering time travel: The “Urban mobility of the future” special exhibition shows how city and traffic planning in urban areas can be designed in future. The focus of the four exhibition areas are autonomous developments, urban development concepts, social challenges, and future trends.
In the special exhibition, the newest addition to the SEDRIC (SElf DRIving Car) family, SEDRIC Nightlife, takes centre stage, the first time it has been presented to a large audience. The Volkswagen Group’s concept vehicle is an important step in autonomous driving and the mobility of the future.
The “autonomous vehicles and sustainability” exhibit shows what is important in these mobility concepts: part of the permanent “LEVEL GREEN – the concept of sustainability” exhibition, it takes an in-depth look at such issues as artificial intelligence, permanent networking, privacy, and digital ethics.
And what is the current state of affairs? Digital stations provide information about the mobility solutions pioneers and designers are already working on. Visitors discover what a developer in a Palo Alto start-up, Volkswagen’s Chief Digital Officer, and Wolfsburg’s mayor have in common: the desire for active design, the prerequisite of technical infrastructures for digital services, and the constant mediation among various interests.
The “Urban mobility of the future” special exhibition can be visited during Autostadt opening hours until 30.12.2018.
