“Autoland D” tells four fictional short stories about the love Germans feel for their cars. At the heart of the short stories are the protagonists Peter, Lotte, Anna and Benedikt, who each have their own special relationship to cars.

"Autoland D" now showing in the themed cinema is made up of four short films that document the relationship between people and their cars and explore divergent worlds. Visitors accompany Peter as he reminisces about the 1950s and his chance discovery, an old Porsche much in need of restoration. Audiences experience the highs and lows of Formula Student, where students build their own race car and compete against teams from around the world, through the eyes of the young e-racing driver Lotte. Anna tries long and hard to persuade a used-car dealer to sell her a vintage VW T1 at a reduced price. Benedikt is a traffic planner whose work is inspired by examples taken from nature.
