If the Autostadt is where Volkswagen’s heart beats, and we are able to reach our customers meaningfully, then we have significantly contributed to the success of the Volkswagen Group.” Otto Ferdinand Wachs, as representative for the Volkswagen Group, was appointed project director for the Autostadt in May 1996. He became the Managing Director and CEO of the Autostadt GmbH in November 1999.
